Replacement Reeds for Your Diffuser
Ten natural rattan reed sticks, the same high-performance reeds supplied with every William Alexander diffuser.
Each stick is cut to 25cm and chosen for its open structure, which draws fragrance oil steadily up the reed and releases it into the room rather than holding it at the base.
Do You Actually Need New Reeds?
Most of the time, no. Rattan reeds keep working for a long time, and flipping them once a week restores most of the scent throw on its own.
Replace them when:
- The reeds look dusty, darkened or visibly clogged
- Flipping them no longer refreshes the fragrance
- You are changing to a different scent and don't want the two to mix
That last one is the most common reason. Reeds hold their old fragrance, so switching from Madagascar to Hamptons is best done with fresh sticks.

How to Use
- Remove and discard the old reeds.
- Insert the new sticks, fanning them out slightly.
- Allow around 24 hours for them to saturate before judging the scent throw.
- Use fewer reeds for a subtle background fragrance, or all of them for maximum scent.
- Flip them once a week to refresh.
